We've heard for the 18 months since moving here that this is a great restaurant. Finally, last evening we used a visit by friends as the occasion to visit Broiler. Wow, five out of five on all fronts...service, setting, quality, quantity. The best steak any of us have been served anywhere. Prices are very fair, and an excellent of the very good house wines. Before going to dinner I'd seen a review where the person said he'd never been before in a restaurant where he'd go right back the next night. Yep, that's right.

Old school, in a good way. Prime rib and steaks are the way to go.Fast and friendly service. Busser was particularly attentive. Warm bread and bountiful salad( with beets and garbanzo beans, even) It doesn\t look like its changed in 40 years, but judging by the crowd, nobody wants it to. Good experience.

I have been eating amazing meals at The Broiler since 1975. We celebrate Anniversaries, Birthdays and whatever else there. Not much has changed in the appearance of the place over the years, but the food is every bit as good through all these years. We drive from Clearlake to eat here just because The Broiler is unrivaled. You should have a reservation. The Wait Staff is always spot on with everything. Your glass will never be empty, and all of your needs will be taken care of. I am impressed at how well the Bussers and younger Staff are so well trained in their jobs. The Broiler is a well-oiled machine from the Waiters to the Cooks. If you have never been here, you're missing a fine dinner. If fact, we are heading up there Friday for our 47th Anniversary!

The off-the-beaten path location secluded away from the typical you will enter a time travel to the steakhouse of the past. The selection is varied with a small choice of side dishes and a perfect place for carnivores looking to quell their appetite for steak, chops, or prime rib. Baked Potato was crispy on the skin and steamy hot on the inside begging for butter and sour cream and scallion onions. The French sourdough bread was with a crunchy crust and warm delicate fluffy sourgough demanding a pat of butter after it was broke. A pot of baked beans and a cool crisp Coca-Cola complimented the meal. The staff seem to be on top of their business of beefing up the family run business vibe by having dynamic closing hours depending on the number of patrons. Parking is very ample and old-school style is the Broiler's game.
